Family background: She has diabetes family cases from her mother side. Her mother died due to a "cetoacid" coma when she was 56 years old. Her grandmother, from her mother side, had to have one of her legs cut due to a diabetic gangrene. The patient affirms a family tendency to the obesity, as well as to bone joints illnesses of rheumatic arthritis type. Besides, she affirms that most part of her family have arthritis problems.

Illness report: The diabetic file (*) of the patient started at the end of the 90s. She first had a general deterioration with severe tiredness and desire to sleep, headaches, thirst, and she thought they were caused by her diverse work activities. When she heard a comment about cholesterol, she decides to have it checked. The lab exam showed a high level of cholesterolmy (280 mg). At the same time, they found a high level of hyperglycemias of 135 mg. She kept the level by irregular diets but as the pains continued, she had another hepatic exam in 2000. Her hyperglycemias level was now of 260 mg.

*Note: It is important to remember that up to now; there is not a medic certification that states the diabetes diagnosis. However, due to family background and the exams performed showing high levels of glycemias, we can be talking about if not a moderate level of diabetes but of an obvious tendency to suffer from that illness or of an starting level.

Symptoms: hyperglycemias, thirst, desire to sep, cephalic, bone pains in the joints, pains in the vagina.

Other illnesses: The patient affirms to have suffered, since her childhood, of irregular events of joint pains on her hands and shoulders which levels increased in intensity but not in frequency during the last years. They were so strong that at the end of September and early October in 2002, her shoulders and her left hand wrist were paralysed. As she relates, these events started at the same time as she was doing home labour such as washing up or washing clothes so she thought it was the washing powder.
When she was 40 years old, she started having irregular menstrual cycle, blushes, etc. At her 43 years old, the activity in the ovaries disappeared: early menopause was declared. When she was 47 years old, she started having pains in the vagina that make her difficult to have a normal sexual life. For this, she had a hormonal treatment, which failed.

Current treatment: She started the Jeddy Rios treatment to cure Diabetes on October 24th 2002. As she finished part of it, she went on diet, though now it is not so strict. It is important to know that diets programmes do not produce negative effects on patients.

Current situation: In January of this year, she shows a level of 85 mg of glycemias. Being on diet, she lost from 85 to 75 kilograms. The bone pains in her joints on her left arm have disappeared. Besides, she does not show those symptoms anymore, so she has continued with her sexual life successfully.
